get to an open space. turn the steering wheel to lock in one direction. slowly and gradually accumulate speed. you'll feel the car either under or oversteer depending on how you are with the hrottle.
this will help you greatly in learning how your car looses traction and how to recover.

and when you get really good at it, you can drift into a mad tyte boulder.

If you keep the wheels turned and give it more gas, you will do 360's. So i've been told. I've never done this.
thats the point of the excercise. to see at which point the car looses it and how much you can push it before it does.

I have to say, I just AutoXed my S2k for the first time last month and I could not believe how easy it was to break the rear tires loose, even in second gear.

The balance and responsiveness of the car is awesome, but just give it some gas near the top of second and you'll easy slide the rear out, even on these beefy 245 width tires.

AutoX also shows you just how good the brakes are, too. Let's just say I was applying them WAY too early all day. They're deceivingly good.

The S2000 doesn't respond well if you get on the throttle too early or excessively. I've been autocrossing for decades, and the S2000 still forced me to improve my throttle application on corner exit. Once you get it down, it's amazing how hard the car can accelerate off the corners.

Spinning the car around is easy. Keeping it at peak grip, or doing controlled slides, requires far more skill.

Still, you can't learn the limits of a car (any car) without exceeding them.
