Bummer Mike. I only have a couple things to say
1) It's just a car and glad nobody got hurt
2) That'll buff right out
3) There sure are a lot of assholes on this board busting your chops in this thread like they have never made a mistake.
I don't agree with either of these statements.

Like seatbelts?
Like ABS.

Dear Honda - thanks for making a car that we can drive (mostly), instead of a car that drives for us. Let the guys who don't want to know how to drive buy IS300s or whatever, not S2000s.

Mike - sorry to hear about your misfortune. The one time I had an accident that bent sheet metal, it was at less than 20 mph (below the speed limit but still too fast for conditions - snow starting on a gravel road), so I can well believe this happened at 30mph.

What don't you agree with, that I put 5,000 miles on my car in between September and February in 40 degree temps as well as mid to high 30 degree temps on a few occasions? Strange
No I can believe you put the miles on but the tires don't stick well under 60. I drove with them until December (first snow I had to stay at home). Not that you can't drive with them but you bettter damn well believe they don't hold the road for shit under 50 and not well between 50 and 60.

Why would I need to do a search We both own and drive the same car remember

You say they start losing grip at 60 degree's? Does that mean they are not going to work at 59 degree's Your joking right

When my OEM tires were brand new, my car handled beautifully in 40 to 50 degree temps. I don't tend to push the limits of lateral adhesion above 35-40 mph on a public road whether it is 40 degree's or whether it is 80 degree's. I would not even push the limits of lateral adhesion at speeds above 50-60 mph on a closed race course no matter what the ambient temps are. I have pushed the limits during heavy braking in a straight line though.

All I am saying is that the OEM S-02 tires handle pretty darn well in 40 to 50 degree temps before they reach 5,000 miles.

just a simple case of losing control and not being able to recover.....if you haven't lost control in your S yet, i applaud you not testing the limits on the road and for being lucky......stability control may or may not have helped in this situation but I don't see what's the harm of adding it to any car (as long as it can be disabled)....soon it'll be as ubiquitous as ABS.

If your referring to me, read my post on the 1st page

I was out of control as much as anybody possibly could in this car and regained control without hitting anything

I would think that violently fishtailing at 96 mph would qualify as losing control even though I regained control or just simply got lucky. I would pick the latter.
