Looking at that picture brings a tear to my eye. I can't image my little "Jose" all banged up like that

sorry for your crash - but glad you're Ok ---

for whatever its worth...

Today -with an hour of each other - I drove both an MY03 w/S02's (about 8K miles on 'em) & an MY04 with RE050's (at approx 10K miles on 'em)

Temp was 45-50 degress

Roads were wet-->soaked

The MY 03 felt really loose and I could make the rear swing with ease with even the slightest modulation of the gas/clutch

The MY04 felt much more planted and by comparison felt as though it had grip - taking a bit more effort to break the rear loose.

not of much value to this thread in particular but I had fun driving both MY's

Silly how people immediately start saying the S needs stability control blah blah blah. Look at those four statments:

40 degrees on tires that are summer only. Summer only means more than just no snow on the ground. At those temps, the tires will not perform as optimally.

Wet roads and RWD requires care regardless of other factors.

S02 with 10k miles on them IE bald tires.

upshifting at 30 mph 1st to 2nd means you were in the cars power range.

This same wreck would not have happened if there was tread on the tires and the car was not upshifting in vtec range on wet roads.
i totally admit and agree with you. i shouldve been even more careful because of those reasons. not asking for any pity, i know i messed up, just want others to not make the same mistake i did. thanks again for the support, guys...

Anyway I can get some of your interior pieces. I'm local so let me know.

that is one of the dumbest and most ignorant posts I have read on here.

self control and common sense is cheaper and safer than any traction control device you could add to this car
Humans make mistakes... Safety equipment eliminates the potential of a large portion of human error which causes accidents. Thanks for calling me ignorant. I'm sure you're a hard one.

[QUOTE=Barry in Wyoming,Apr 3 2005, 04:06 PM]The SO2 tires don't do well when the outside temperature drops to 40 deg F.
