I lost the electric power steering on my 02S2k a couple of days ago. The Honda dealer says I need a new power steering control unit (which will be fixed under warranty) and that I shouldn't drive the car because it is putting lots of stress on the front end. I don't plan on driving it until the part comes in next week, but I have driven it about 100 miles since the EPS went away. Has anyone here had this problem? Do you think that I have done any permanent damage?

Thanks for the answers guys. I guess I will just have to suffer riding in my wife's Accord until the part comes in. It's going to be a long few days.
