Default Lost phone from rear shelf....

I put some stuff on the back shelf behind the seats and discovered some of the stuff has disappeared...
It seems to have gone down one of the sides
Does anyone know if there is access :

It's very very painful. I dropped a clip or bolt back there and it too forever to get it out, but, depending on how large the object is it may be sitting higher than what I was trying to grab, check the sides with the top up and see if you can see it., it's hard to see with the top up but at least check to make sure the item(s) won't grab the mechanism and jam up on the way down...

OMG............... what ever made you put stuff back there!?!?!?

It will be virtually impossible without taking the interior apart.

you could try removing the spare tire to look in there with a flashlight. if you need further access, you could remove the trunk interior trim pieces (which come out pretty easily) too. taking off the side panels inside the cabin require removing the seat and so forth.

is your phone bluetooth enabled? bluetooth still reaches behind your seat. just use a BT earpiece, leave the phone there.

You've tried calling it, just to see exactly where it is, I presume?

It won't be in the spare tire area. It is actually in the drain for the top pan within the quarter panel of the car. Very hard to access. Hopefully you are up for a new phone with your carrier.

when my car was new, my wife casually threw a pen behind there thinking its like the back shelf of any other car.... all the while I was screaming ...Noooooo... slo-mo movie style...

anyway.. it used to rattle like hell..... and drive me nuts...... took me days to pull the pen out.... finally caught it after 20 minutes worth of groping about with my hand shoved into the convertible roof mechanism....
