Hi guys, im about to sell my Genesis for an S2000, But on to my main question right now i have a Black genesis and every time i see a white one i get mad at myself for not getting white so i figured this time around im going to try for white! But ive been looking alot and was wondering if White AP1's are rare or some sort because i cant seem to find ANY!!! Also is it possible to get an AP1 with black interior or did they come in only full red? So any i just wanted to know if white AP1's are rare? Thanks for your help!!!

Definately not as common as silver. They had red/black (I think) interiors for AP1, black/tan for early AP2 and then all black in 2006+. Well, this is what I recall and may be incorrect.

GPW is my fav s2000 color as well, really brings out the lines. Do I kick myself for not waiting out for one? Not really, I'm having too much fun with this one ...and BB was my 2nd color choice.

What kind of premium should we be looking at to buy a GPW with black/red interior? I'm actually not interested in this color but... the cleanest car avalible in the area is white and asking a premium. Are white/black and white/tan also at an equal premium? Ap1 vs Ap2 white premium? (I'm just trying to justify the extra 2K in cost for a white car...)

It's really relative to the car's condition. I'd need more info. Only year that was gpw/black was 2006. Otherwise you're going to have red in there or tan. All things considered, a $1k mark up for a gpw isn't out of the question.

If you find a clean GPW, you should seriously consider buying it. I was set on a 02 or 03 model, and in those 2 years 60% of all S2000s were silver or blue.

A quick GPW summary:

2000 red interior: 671 out of 9,000
2001 red interior: 440 out of 10,000
2002 red interior: 327 out of 10,000
2003 tan interior: 715 out of 7,800
2004 tan interior: 525 out of 7,500
2005 tan interior: 683 out of 8,900
2006 black interior: 450 out of 5,600
2007 black/red interior: 556 out of 4,900
2008 red interior: 177 out of 2,600
2009 red interior: 41 out of 355

Good luck.

White can be really hard to find; I looked for a GPW and it took me three months back in 2004 when the car was still being made to get one. Since the interiors can be swapped out, and there is good demand for the GPW interior variations, I'd just focus on the car and see what you can find.

Some people really love the GPW/all red or the GPW/all blue - both are AP1s. Some really love the black/tan, which was 03-05, so you can get it in an AP1 or AP2. The 06 had an all black, and then the new seat style in the 07+ (I think) is black/red.

Everywhere I go, people love the GPW, and someone always calls it out at S2000 meets. I've been at mets with 30 S2000s and had the only white one, and I've been at meets with 8 S2000s and 4 were white, but overall, there are not many compared to the more common colors. I'm glad I waited to find one.

As your brother in the Imperial Army, I can confirm that GPW is the best color to have. Even better if you get the tan interior
