Personally, I think the '07 GPW with black/red interior is the ultimate combination.

06 GPW w/ black interior. I'm glad I was able to jump at it when I had the chance to buy it

I don't see the mass appeal to white car color.. To me it totally kills the lines of the car unlike what someone said earlier. Plus it shows dust the second after u wash ur car.... BB and gunmetal silver show the best lines of the car. Id have to say I wasn't a fan of my Suzuka color till nighttime came.. Turns into a purty midnight blue

I have had my '04 GPW for >6 years, daily drive it, and love it. Just turned 35k miles this month.

Here is a pic without the hardtop on - I'll see if I can find a picture with it on. Few minor mods including stereo, 07 rims, hardtop, brakes, upgraded shift knob/boot etc, but engine is untouched ( going faster is for two wheels).

I disagree partially. Black is the ultimate line killer on any car. It hides the features. White looks good most of the time but I agree it's still pretty plain. I've not seen the same mass-appeal for white on any other car model. I think it's more due to rarity with the S2000 than anything else.

If any color hides lines and shows dirt, its black. White can "white out" in bright light, but its usually great for showing the lines of a car. This is why silver is so popular - it hides dirt better while showing off the lines of the car - not too dark, not too light for most ppl.

Even people that don't like white admit it looks good when they see a white S2000 parked next to their S in my experience.

I have to admit that as a long time lover of black cars, I cringe when the wife wants all her cars to be white. Always thought it was just so plain. However, I also need to admit that the S2K looks sexy as fawk in GPW. Yes, white may show dirt, but it will be much, much harder to see paint imperfections like scratches and especially swirls. White has really grown on me now mostly thanks to the S2K. If you can find a GPW in good condition, jump on it. You won't regret it. But don't limit yourself to just that color. If you come across a gem, snatch it up as they are becoming a little tougher to find nowadays.

How often do you use the hardtop? I live in Orlando and also have a white 04.... always talk myself out of it because we live in FL.
