It sure looks to me as though Lotus has taken some inspiration from the S2k for the prototypes that supposedly are headed for the street.

sexy car. major design change though. I doubt it handles quite like the elise/exige does.

but many elements of the S2000's classic styling are seen in a number of exotics - Aston, Maserati, even the SLS AMG...

 

The new elise at 55k and 4.2 0-60 seems pretty awesome, what other cars can you get near the 3 second mark for around 50 grand.
