Default Loud Rattle .

Hello all,

I own a 2001 S2000 with approximately 56,000 miles .

I’ve recently developed a loud rattle noise. The rod bearings & TCT was just replaced today and the noise did not go away .

Im planning on getting a valve adjustment this week coming up .

The higher you rev the car the louder it gets .

I do have a video but for some odd reason it won’t let me post it .

BACKSTORY :

Earlier in the week I had driven the car in the morning and then parked up . Later that evening I went to move the car into the garage and this random rattle noise started .

The old bearings are in the pictures and didn’t look bad at all .

Any help or local guys to Massachusetts that can look at this .

Check to see that your mufflers are still attached to your tailpipes. A detached muffler will rattle, every once in a while, especially when the RPMs hit a resonance with the pipe.

Best of luck!

Is the noise coming from the timing chain area or further back in the engine, down near where the motor mounts are, etc?

It's kind of hard to say what a rattle is without hearing it. Any chance you could upload an unlisted YouTube video and post the link so we can here it?

You need to upload the video to a host site (like YouTube). Then, link the file to this thread.
