I fell in love with the S ever since i saw it at the 1999 LA auto show. I was passing by the Honda dealership during Christmas back in 2004 saw a GPW with a big bow in the showroom and knew i had to get it

It was 1999 and the S2000 had just been announced/released; I didn't even have a driver's license yet. I thought it was absolutely beautiful and spectacular, but thought the odds of me ever getting one were slim to none. Fast forward to 2007 and it's the most fun I've ever had in a road car.

i went into a dealership where my friend was working at the time for my other friend to buy a 330. Out in the front of the dealership there sat an 01 spa with 15k miles on it. I walked out the door with it the next day. My friend ended up buying a GSX lol

my roommate bought one when they came out - I drooled and thought "I won't be able to afford this thing for a long time" - 5 years later I finally bought it.

First time I'd saw the S, a lady (about late 20ish) crashed it in a 4 way intersection. She'd T-boned some older SUV and was right in the middle of the intersection, I remember going by with my wife in her SUV saying "DAMN!!! A Z4 CRASHED". As we'd passed, I'd saw S2000 on the side fender and said "F@#&k, that ain't no Z4".
A couple months went by and I'd traded my modded 00 Dakota ext cab for a MY00 NFR, loved it ever since.

Yes. It was 2004, my mom was negotiating the terms of sale on my 98 Civic ex and I was given the opportunity to sit in my new dream car. It was a Spa AP2, beautiful, loved the cup holder, couldn't find the trunk, didn't know much more other than one day I would own one. Finally drove a Spa AP1 in October 2005, picked up mine in May 2007

It's been so many years since I fell in love with the car, it's tough to recall exactly which and in what order it was...

LA Auto Show in 2000 or 2001 (I was in 8th or 9th grade at the time)
+
Heartbreakers (yes, I know I know. Jennifer Love Hewitt had a part in it too... )

I was sold on Silverstone pretty much since then too.

When I turned 18, my dad passed down his '99 Acura 3.2 TL to me as my going-to-college present. I tinkered with the TL for the next 3 years and learned a great deal more about cars overall... also found myself really wanting something with better handling & driving feel (s2k yes?). So long story short - sold the TL & the mods + some savings = down payment on the S. Didn't need to test drive ANY other car, new or old. Picked her up in July '07.

Childhood dream coming true!!
