I too like the look of a dropped S2000 and am considering doing the same. However, I've been told by many with far more track experience than I that lowering actually decreases lateral g forces and overall cornering, unless control arms, roll center, ball joint, etc. are carefully accounted for as well. Is this true?

Yeah if you are too low you will need other parts to correct your suspension's geometry.

You have to change your driving style when lowered. I was lowered 2'' all the way around and its a little rough in NJ. Location, roads, entrances and exits are all things to consider and watch out for.

I will be lowered again though back to 2'' once I swap these OEM shocks out.

I second that!! When I first lowered the car I could tell it was flatter handling suffered a bit. Right now Im too low to take corners at break neck speeds, wind deflectors scrap like crazy and affraid of hitting a bump and the suspension bottoming out.... I usually keep the shocks pretty soft setting, rides like a dream (sorta )

You don't realise how big some of these speed bumps actually are, some you need a tank to get over!!

So annoying though when you are passenger in a normal car or SUV... they just drive straight over (at speed) and i can feel my a**hole just tighten up as if we are gonna just break that car!!

Yes, for some apparent reason all Asian supermarket are soo frikkn tough to get in and out. It's either there are speed bumps that are 20 feet high or they have like dips in the road where even if you go sideways you'll end up scraping or getting stuck. It's like they are trying to get rid of lowered cars? But yeah... I am lowered on KWv3's and as for scraping... at first I kept on thinking that I am scraping the rubber black piece when I go on driveways or speed bumps. But come to find out when I lift my car for oil changes I see scratches underneath the front bumper. It is really a PITA to get anything done since my car is soo low. No shops around here in St. Louis can do anything to my car. There is only one shop near me and that's like 45 mins and they charge an arm and a leg for an alignment. When I do my own oil change I have this body shop that I go to. In order for me to put the car on the lift I have to use my oem jacks to raise it high enough for it. It is such a hassle sometimes but I still think it is worth it and the lowered stance on s2k is bada$$!
