I finally got the lowered seat rails. I installed them (drivers seat only) yesterday. The seat is just under an inch lower and the connector for the seat belt sensor is touching the carpet (meaning that that is as low as you can go without rewiring that part).

The rails are quality built and pretty stout.

The install was not 100% straight forward without any directions. Some new hardware was supplied since the bolting methods changed some. If you are somewhat mechanically inclined, it is not a problem.

The hardest thing is if you have the Honda alarm system in its standard location under the set. The new rails are tied together with a reinforcement bar that interferes with this mounting location. You will need to rethink the whole mounting scheme of the alarm controller and the associated relays. This took the most time. With a combination 3M tape, tie wraps and a fabricated strap, I was able to remount the components in locations where the harness would still reach. I still was able to mount it all to the bottom of the seat.

After test driving the car, I was happy with the mod. The main thing it gives me is a better sight line under the windshield header for stop lights and I can also see the tach fully now. Head room was never a problem.

Yes, stock seat. See the earlier posts. About $300 shipped from Bulletproof Automotive. Info is all in the earlier posts.

Couple of quick questions to people who did this mod:

When hammering the back part of the seat with a socket, is there a special socket size to use, will a 17mm be fine to use?

Also, what size drill bit did you use to drill the new hole in the seat pan?
