caution noob post*
i have have a question for the tall drivers. do yall have any problems heel toeing? im 6'1" with long legs and a size 13 foot. and how is the s2k for longer drives?

the reason why i asked is bc i test drove an 06 last night and fell in love... nothing like top down motoring in 38 degree weather....
I suggest you get some puma speed cat shoes.
They are essentially flat with extra grip on the heel.
This gives you just a bit more leg room and the shoe is very thin so you won't bump the other pedals when driving.

Some people use Tiger wrestling shoes but I fancy the pumas.
They suck for walking long distances so just keep them in the trunk for driving.j

has anyone done this mod on a 2004 or 2005? the reason why i ask is when i put my hand underneath my seat right now, the bottom of the rear part of the seat pan is barely above the floor and it doesnt seem like i could get the stock seat pan any lower. im thinking the only way to get any extra headroom would be to remove some of the seat cushion.

I cannot believe some of you are using JB Weld to hold your seat in place.

You do realize that in an accident your chances of injury just increased incredibly -- and if insurance finds out what you did your claim will go unanswered.

Please have someone properly weld the bolts.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but from my understanding JB Weld is used in the process to position the nuts in the seat bottom tray to ease threading in the bolts to hold the seat rails. Once the nut/bolt pairs are tightened, the JB Weld does nothing to hold the seat bottom tray and rails together.

I have this on order.

http://www.pac-gate.co.jp/back-yd/s2000.htm

I haven't received it yet, but it should lower the entire seat (including the back) almost an inch.

The important part is in English. "Low position seat frame for stock seats" and "20 mm".

You should get the drift.

I still haven't received it yet.
Let us know how these go, i would love to drop my seats an inch.

Chris.

You just don't get it...

The theory is to use the JB Weld to secure the NUT to the seat bucket so when the whole seat is put back together the BOLT will go into the NUT and can be tightened without having to get to the NUT. The JB Weld is actually doing nothing from a load carrying point of view, it is the NUT and the BOLT that are securing the seat to the rail.
