Lowest Seat

Am I correct in assuming that the seat mod only lowers the sitting position and not the depth into the seat back? Even so, I'm curious as to how much of a decrease in leg room (in terms of horizontal length from seat back to pedals) resulted from this mod. Sometimes practice differs from theory and I'm just wondering if the legroom descrease described earlier is really all that noticable.

Actually, quality of discussions such as the one that is being presented here used to be very common across the whole board. Even in the Street Encounters. Don't know what happened to the excellent quality of the board but it sure has gone downhill compared to maybe 1, 1.5 years ago.

I am 6'1" and had the same problem. It really wasnt that big of a deal. But I did try the Spoon seats. I can tell you first hand that I had plenty of legroom due to the lower position of the seat. The Spoon seat probably is one of the lowest sitting seats out there. Whatever you do DO NOT go with BRIDE seats. I talked with one of the BRIDE distributors and they told me these seats are made for people under 5'10". I even sat in a couple of sets of the seats here and was not impressed at all with fitment, quality, and size. So dont make that mistake plus they arent really that good of a seat due to the quick fading of the material.
Anyway, the downside of the Spoon Carbon Kevlar seat is the price. They are about $1400 a seat plus another $300 for the rail and another $300 for the Takata harness. So for one seat your looking at $2000. Add on $200 for next day air and your looking at a total of $2200 for one seat, $4300 for 2 seats.
With my OEM seats now they are all the way back. With the Spoon seat it was actually not that far back. I could probably put a roll cage in the back very easily with those seats vs trying to do it now with OEM seats.
