Well like others have said he was giving u 10k with the car being in a crash does not matter what was done. And the car for 28 something so hw was giving u 19k for the trade really. And like others have said there is no demand for this car any more most people can;t afford them any more and want things that are cheap and good on gas. I just traded my fit in saturday for a 08 CR. I got it for 37k and put 2k down on it and i was upside down on the fit but i talked them into just paying it off for me. So i really got the CR for 37,000 OTD and put $2000 cash so i owe $35000 right now i think i got a good deal

$37,000 for an 08 CR?

That sounds awfully high.

OUCH!!! Very sorry man. There was an 08 yellow CR just like yours with a/c and radio advertised for $28995 where I live, and I have seen many on ebay for that price or lower. That's a leftover model, which has depreciated already, so you should have paid a good $6-7k less for it then you did. OOPS!! Live and learn I guess.

Well, nothing you can do about it now, so enjoy your nice ride.

I'm sorry buddy, but they paid it off for you because loaded CRs are going for ~27-28. Particularly '08s.

Ouch dude, that hurt to read. I'm a massicist though, so I read it twice to be sure. Ouch again. There are better CR deals out there.

But you did buy an awesome car!

You guys are taking it out of context, he traded in a Fit for it.

But they paid the fit off. They could have just tacked on the upside down part onto the price of the CR without him knowing thus making it sound like a ''fair deal''.

People seem to occasionally have weird ideas about trade-ins, etc.

Base Price, No trade in: $27,000-$28,000

+ Trade IN (Fit)

$37,000

Now, come again as to how that made sense?

(Unless he was upside by $10,000 on the FIT... which I don't see as being at all plausible.)
