She said it was a noob question because it's right there in the manual.
So she assumed you aren't the original owner of your 2003 vehicle or else you'd have a manual and perhaps read it. So she was wondering if you just bought the car.

What's so wrong about that? She was right on 2 of the 3 points, wasn't she?

C'mon, if you're going to ask a basic question because you don't want to shell out for a manual... are you surprised if people give ya a little flak?

By the way, have you checked in the secret compartment for the manual? Sometimes it hides there and "preowned" users find it years after the purchase....

i bought itnwe bro. are you goign to assume as well? have you ever heard of misplacing it? losing it? someone else perhaps misplacing it? many possibilities. just a thought.

I would highly recommend buying the manual first off. I am a firm believer there should be some kind of law requiring people to read the whole manual prior to completing the purchase of a car. Anyways, if you are not going to buy the manual, make use of the stickies up top in the under the hood section. Especially the DIY and maintenance stickies. You will find damn near everything related to maintenance.

Your car is fine. The light is just a reminder to do recommended maintenance (which is completely outlined in the manual...) Reset the light according the procedure found in the sticky at the top of the under the hood section. Do whatever maintenance is required for your specific mileage and your good to go. Hope the helps.

Forget it, Mary.

I was gonna post a reply after reading all the posts, but couldn't come up with anything politically correct.
