I would highly recommend buying the manual first off. I am a firm believer there should be some kind of law requiring people to read the whole manual prior to completing the purchase of a car. Anyways, if you are not going to buy the manual, make use of the stickies up top in the under the hood section. Especially the DIY and maintenance stickies. You will find damn near everything related to maintenance.

Your car is fine. The light is just a reminder to do recommended maintenance (which is completely outlined in the manual...) Reset the light according the procedure found in the sticky at the top of the under the hood section. Do whatever maintenance is required for your specific mileage and your good to go. Hope the helps.
Thats the point of this thread. why did it come on? what maint do i have to do? its not the oil. i konw my brakes are going to be replaced b/c its fading away fast. other then that, what can it be?

The answer to your question is in the DIY sticky in the Under the Hood forum. Read the thread. All your questions will be answered.
