Default maint required light on :(

I don't know much about cars, but what are some possible reasons that my light is on? The car has 16,000 miles and i bought it when it had 15,000 miles. But can an oil change / fluid adjustment or what not be the case? Hopefully it isn't anything big

I'm sorry worried about this thing

Every 7000 miles or so, the maintence required light flashes. It's just a scrary but friendly reminder that your car is due for expection: change fuilds, bolts, and certain parts to make sure they're within spec. This is completely normal, it's the CEL light that you should be more worried about.

My main't req. light came on today, but i usally do all the inspecitions myself, to save some money. if you just bought your car, i'm sure they have already made sure your car is okay. Just have them reset the light for you, or search the thead how to reset the maint req light.

Yeah just change your oil, diff if you want, and tranny to smooth out your tranny. Or you can just change the oil and reset it by holding down the "trip" button.
