Maintenance Light
Does the maintenance light stay on when you need an oil change? Previously it would just blink 2-4 times when I started the car, but this morning it stayed on. I have changed the oil recently but did not reset the light?
Also a good story, this morning as I was entering the highway running (my favorite part of the morning) through the gears up to ~85mph, I noticed there was a camaro highway cop with no markings right next to me. After cleaning my pants, I realized that he was already pulling over a semi, I guess I was a lucky Ba%#rd!

this just happened to me, except the dealer was the one that didn't reset the light.
The light starts showing up when starting the car at/near the service mileage (say 15000 miles). After the car is started, the light goes off.
However, if you don't reset the light within several hundred miles of the maintenance point (say 15500 miles), the light comes on and stays on when the car is started. I guess they figure you'll get irritated enough to either get the service done or reset it yourself.

The dealers never seem to remember to reset the light. They do go from blinking to "on" after a while.
The library section tells you how to reset it, shortcut here:
