Maintainance Required??

It only flashes when you start the car or if you cross the 6000 mile mark while on the road. But once it's solid it stays on until you reset the sucker.

you can turn off the light yourself. like mentioned before...hold the trip reset while holding the key in the on position...you should wait about 10secs and then start the car...the maintenance light should now be gone.

as for cutting off wild cold...you'll have to wait til you have 3 bars on your temp gauge before trying to vtec

The maintenance required light is just a timer tied to the odometer. Your engine could be spewing oil and the light won't come on.

If your check engine light comes on...

...then you have problems.

Yeah the maint. req. light is like a joke Honda plays on you. Maybe they get their kicks hearing from the panicked S2000 owners.
