Maintenance Light Reset on 04 S

Is the process of resetting the maintenance light on the 04 S the same as the previous model years? If not what is the process.

Maybe you should try it and tell us, it took longer for you to post this question then if you were to actually try it ( Don't take this as me being a smart a$$, I'm just being frank )

it's in the manual. something like hold the trip button then turn the key

Yeah, hold the trip button for a good reliable 10sec, then turn the key all the way forward while keeping it pressed. Once it disappears you're good to go!
