Default Maintenance Needed - age of car not miles

2002 S2000 with only 18,000 miles in hot south Texas, so when should timing belts etc be changed even though low mileage but in car 6 years old.

i don't think age matters, i have an 02 civic thats going to hit 100,000 and i'm looking at doing it soon, I'm pretty sure it's just based off miles

S2K does have a timing chain.

I go by mileage intervals, not time. However, if the time exceeds the mileage interval by too much, I will visually inspect things to make sure everything looks good.

timing chain never needs replacement. may need adjustment after 100k+ miles.

not never. around 200k miles they will stretch beyond adjustment and it will start slapping against the alminum cover u better replace it or cause serious damage. that is if your car last that long. LOL
