Default Maintenance on Rear Plastic Window

What kind of maintenance is required for the rear plastic window? What products do you guys recommend and how do I go about keeping it in excellent condition?

How is the visibility like with the plastic rear windows? Does the visibility become an issue during the winter months? Would a hardtop resolve the visibility issues?

Thanks

My 2001 is a year old and I've been cleaning mine twice a month with plexus (use search function for where to buy) and my rear window is as clear as it was the day I purchased it. I ALWAYS make sure to lay a mat in the convertable top well and a clean rag on the outside of the window before putting the top down. A few times a crease or two delveloped. To cure that, heat up a few quarts of water to 160-180 degrees and with the top up, pour slowly over the surface of the plastic, give it a few minutes to cool down and towel dry - presto, no more wrinkles.

Why would you drive the car with the top up????

Just kidding - I've never had my car in the rain and even during the winter it doesn't get too cold in North Carlolina. On cold months, I put the top down, crank up the heat, and roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The few times I have had the top up visibility was never a problem. From the looks of the hardtop, the visibility should be greatly improved. I'm not a big hardtop fan though because I believe it spoils the minimalist feel of an open top roadster. If I was going to drive a coupe I'd probably hold out for a C5 or 350Z

Check ou t the wash and wax forum. Also try Meguiars products. #17 and #10 is pretty good. #17 is the cleaner. #10 does what Plexus does.

All honda dealers sell this spray on, wipe off stuff that really cleaned mine up. It even took out the yellowing and haze. All the dealers know what it is, I just can't remember.

- Plexus for polishing
- 303 Protectant to prevent sun damage (yellowing/cracking)
- Muz mat in the rear well to prevent scratches

I thought 303 was only for the top
