Maintenance Required Light
does anyone know how to get rid of the Maintenance Required Light? i've tried reseting the ECU. i think it might be on because i do my own oil changes. will that cause the light to come on if i don't take it to the dealership to get the oil change?
and, what is the correct way to reset the ecu? thanks for any input.

i'm without an owner's manual. i bought the car used and was too excited to get it off the lot that i did not bother asking for it. when i went back to get it, they said they didn't have it. can someone please look it up for me?
took me an hour to find the gas release knob.

Glad you brought up this post wasu55, I've got the same indicator on and wanted to know how to shut it off.
S2000raj, thanks for the tip.
Here's the fix, word for word.
"To reset the maintenance required indicator, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position, then press and hold the trip meter reset button while you turn the ignition switch ON. Continue holding the button until the indicator resets (the indicator light goes out)."
