maintnance light

Default maintnance light

i made my oil change a few days ago, my maintnance light begins to blink for a bit when i turn on my car, all maintnance is up to date, anybody know how to get rid of the blinking?

Its in the owners manual.

" To reset the maintenance required indicator, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position, then press and hold the trip meter reset button while you turn the ignition switch ON. Continue holding the button until the indicator resets ( the indicator light goes out)."

This is in the 2002 owners manual. I'm not sure if it works for the other years i would imagine it would. Im gona try it in my 2003 and see if it works. I just started getting the light last night and dug up the owners manual i bought off a member here (because mine didnt come with one.)

took me less than 10 second searching..

- Put the key in the ignition and in the "OFF/LOCKED" Position.

- Hold the Trip/Reset Button on the right bottom corner of your gauge cluster (see pic)

- Now - Turn key to the "ON" Position while continuing to hold the Trip/Reset Button till the light goes off.

***If the light is still at the "blinking" stage and not yet solid - continue to Hold the button for around 25-30 seconds just to make sure it resets. ***
