Press and hold the " trip" button, while still holding it turn the iginition ket to the II position, continue to hold the button until the light goes off. This proceduer is also in your owner's manual but not clearly described.

David, insert the key, but dont turn the key yet. Press and hold the "Trip" button. While still holding down the Trip button turn the key to the "ignition" position. wait until the Maint Req'd light goes out and your done.

How long does that take? I have done that and waited up to 10 seconds.

Ignition position is the full on position right?

hmm..? Somethings wrong...? The light should take no longer than 10 secs. Ignition is the position that turns on the tach and fuel, temp gauges...
It should've worked. Lets try something else: (I'm trouble-shooting with you here David) Try inserting the key and turn "one click". From here press and hold the trip button. While still holding the button turn the key to the Ignition.... Wait about 10-15secs. or til the light goes out.
Hope that helps.

That worked, but it took a full 15 seconds.

I had already reset the ecu as well and that had no effect.

Thanx. I have had that light on for the past 1,000 miles (at 15k)
