Default maintnence question from a newbie

Im looking at buying a 2004 s2000 with 79000 miles. What sort of maintnence should I expect it to need in the near future? I know hondas are known for reliability, but I feel like every car has that one part that's going to wear out.

thanks for any help

s2000's dont have any major maintance items like timing belts. just find out when all the fluids have been changed out and go from there. at 80k you will most likely need the 2nd set of brakes if not already done

Change all the fluids, pull the spark plugs, check the cabin filter, check the air filter, and use shin-etsu grease on all the rubber.

if you DIY this, all the parts and fluids will set you back less than a hundred bucks--all the "how to"s are in the threads at the top of the forum---everything is pretty easy to do.
I'd also suggest using a good quality fuel injector cleaner for the first couple of tanks of gas.

enjoy your new ride!

The hardest thing to ever have to get done may well be a valve adjustment, and that is only if necessary up to 100K miles for later models.
