Major slipping in rain?
WahooJeff,
I drove my S2000 from Baltimore to Cleveland last Friday with Paul Simonds riding shotgun. We started out in the freezing rain, drove through light snow and slush, then heavy rain all the way to the Ohio border, where the roads were dry. I have Michelin Pilot Sport tires and had no problems whatsoever. We were going faster than most of the traffic on the roads and the car did not once get out of hand or give us a dicey moment. I was very nervous when we set out, but after only a few miles I realized that the car was handling beautifully.
The right tires make all the difference in the world.
I also have the Honda GB recommended alignment, which has aggressive camber, JRZ coilovers, and the stiffer front anti-say bar, which may also make for better handling in the wet.
