make the sk2 more POWER efficient
only mod that can get u over 300hp is forced induction:turbo or s/c
not all 240 get to the wheels because of drivetrain loss, theres drivetrain loss on every car, more on autmatics and manuals most of the time.

old sae measure power with the motor apart, which takes out alot of variables.
1)turbo/supercharge would be the easiest route, a stoker kit 2.5liter is availble from inline4, don't know how much it pushs tho'. you can't get best of both world, if you want more power, things that make to handle only 240 bhp is going to give you crap.
2) better tires, syn. fluid, lighten drive shaft, different LSD, rear end, axle, lighten flywheel better clutch, etc
3)fraction, notice all heat engine will not be 100% effeicent, that's the law of physic, you are only using 12-15 percent of all the power you get from burning gas.
what can happen? everything.
the easiest way to achieve 300+ and lot of torque without forceinduction and without risking your honda dohc is to get a ls1 swap. the motor and trans is going for 1500, add a custom shaft and rear end, bam you have something torquey.
(sorry, rotary fans)
oh..that's some cutting, welding and alot wiring involved

When car companies tell you a car makes so and so power, they are talking about the engine, not the car. For instance, our motor makes 240 horsepower when you lay it on a table and hook it up to a machine. When you put it in a car, the CAR eats up some of the power to get it moving, then the rest is the number you see at a dyno.
180 is very low, that must be from a mustang dyno. Usually you will see 190-210 stock.
Keep in mind that every other car out there has this "dilemma". The 300hp Mustang GT makes nowhere near 300hp...

2: Whats are some things that can go wrong with the car, that would cause the HP to dip the 237?
Adding to what others have said, there is no way that you can avoid shortening the life of the engine if you are up in the 300+ hp range.
Get gears if you want to feel more "power" without sacrificing the engine.

Gears sounds interesting. How much power can one expect? Also, which brand?
Thanks,
