Excellent..!!

I enjoyed reading it all, replies included.

You have made me want to do another roadtrip, but this time in the S .. (I did one a few years back over a 3 week time span)

There is nothing like getting out and experiencing the open road.. nothing planned, just going from town to town, state to state.. taking it all in.. "easy rider" style .. I also did this in Europe a few times, (a few decades ago)

I like your style, documenting it on the forum with pics as you go.. that's cool stuff.. had me going .. wanting more..

this is how to live life, do things for great memories.. yes..!

and.. hey.. kudos for your job, your work.. you seem like a very good person..

good luck..
cheers

It isn't as bad as you guys think. Just a little less luxurious than the S2000, not by much. I will have a Elise vs S2000 owners comparo when I get back.

Here is his blog elises07.blogspot.com
I dont know if would drive that long in it. I have been in one and it is not that comfortable to go across the country in. I'm also 6ft. Congrats on the car. nice choice.

It is all relative I suppose. Like I said, I will write a full comparo, when I get a chance, but driving in the Elise cross country was not a problem at all.

Had navigation, AC. What else do you need?

Craig,

Appreciate the kind words! I did a similar trip in Europe in a M5 Estate years back.

I commend you for one following your dream and two having a dream where the outcome is selfless. It takes a very special person to do what you are doing.

My job allowed me to see the world. I read that you are planning trips to Dubai and South Africa. I have been there along with India, South Korea, South Viet Nam, and many places to numerous to mention. I saw first hand the mistreatment and social injustice that people had to endure. The things I have seen will forever be etched in my mind and I will carry them to my grave. My eyes were opened and I try to support those organizations that can truly make a difference, such as, Doctors Without Borders.

I am honored to have made your acquaintance, even if it is only through a S2LI forum. Be well and have safe travels.
Thanks,
Jim
My job also takes me to remote parts of the world. Yes, I will be going to Dubai and S. Africa, but I have been traveling to SE Asia/Middle East/Africa/S. America for years. I just spent 8 months in Dubai/Monaco/Malaysia last year, so travels isn't anything new for me, but the experiences and the people are always new and different.

When you look at children with HIV or human trafficking in E. Europe, the places I go to, add a different dimension to my life, in comparison to what tourists see.

Appreciate your kind words Jim. Many of my closest friends have been made through the internet. With an open mind, you never know what or whom you may encounter.

Doctors without Borders is a great organization.

Wow...that takes a thick skin to work in areas like that. I would be angry or depressed all the time seeing kids suffering and being exploited like that. Hopefully your work eases their pain.

Let me know, I am always up for something!
I took a road trip from Southern California up to Seattle and Vancouver. Had a freaken blast. I kind of blew through all the states and locales in between and in retrospect would have loved to have spent a little more time in between. Looks like you had an amazing time Loanshark. Can't put a price on those experiences and memories .
