Somebody has.

I generally either keep up with traffic, or drive 10 over the posted limit, but when the conditions permit I'll sometimes go a little faster. With the SC/AC and 4.30 gears it doesn't take a lot of road to redline in fourth or fifth.

I've come damn close twice - both times were in PA on long straight roads during the day with no cars in sight in any direction and no places for smokeys to hide. Highest I have seen on my speedo is 152 MPH. At that speed you don't look down too much!

With the SC/AC and 4.30 gears it .....
That is a final drive ratio I haven't seen before
Explain please

While still stock I have driven 257 km/h in Germany, just to try.
The revs went to 8500 rpm, in 6th
As it wouldn't go any faster I had enough time to look at the revs
It does "feel good" to go that fast and NOT worrie about speed tickets or having to let the car be driven to a local police station and loosing your license.

Usually I drive a little over the speed limit (120 km/h) here, lets say 130 km/h.
That is on highways.
Other roads I stick to the speed limit a bit more (doing 85km/h where the limit is 80 km/h for example).

Still waiting to try out my 4.57's in Germany.

The 4.30 gears have been used in assorted Miata's over the years.

Honda S2k Racing- Malbis is nortorius for its speed traps. Pensacola to Mobile I always slow way down when I near Malbis. Pretty common to see the blinking blue lights as you pass through Malbis and always a good reminder that you really need to take serious note anytime your within a couple of miles of this place.

[QUOTE=Red-S2k-00,Aug 25 2006, 03:50 PM] One reason for this thread is I got caught doing 92 in a 65 in Oregon about 2-weeks ago (I live in Colorado) $427.00 - he tagged me with Laser - I never saw him which was amazing since you could probably see Mexico as the interstate was so long and straight.
