One reason for this thread is I got caught doing 92 in a 65 in Oregon about 2-weeks ago (I live in Colorado) $427.00 - he tagged me with Laser - I never saw him which was amazing since you could probably see Mexico as the interstate was so long and straight. I was polite and took my medicine and he let me move along.
Yes - I saw they raised the speed limit in Texas on some roads to 80. I wish they would do that elsewhere.

Depends. Most of the time I do the limit, but if I am traveling long distances (over 150 miles) then I will do five over. If I am traveling further, then I may do 9 over. I have been told by different officers I know from different states and they all say the same thing. The motto is "9 you're fine, 10 you're mine." That's what I go by.

ive heard this also... so i usually obey it, but i rarely do the limit. Normally i'll do 5 over if the limit is 45+.
If the limit is below 45 (i.e 35) then i'll do the limit.
