Me vs M3, EVOs, STIs
hi guys, i have never been in a tuned S2000 in person. I just saw it on videos. Please check my signature. I have some parts waiting to be installed. After everything is done and the car is dyno tuned, do you have an idea what will be the new hp of the car?? Considering same drivers, If I run with a stock E46 M3 or a stock EVO 8, do I have a chance to beat them all the way?? (both from dead start and rolling start)
The question may sound very childish but i am just so excited and impatient about the results. I can't wait till the parts are installed. please post your ideas and let me know...

I don't think you'll loose by as much the e46 m3 as a normal s2k would, but the 4.57 gears will help out for sure. So you would hang, but a properly driven one should still definitly get you. As for the evo, if you can drive well, you should be able to hang in a drag and definitly get him on the roll (55mph+).
You could try to build up the rear end and get some super sticky tires so you can drop it at like 8krpms. There is some who did just this and has an intake and gears and is running extremely fast. You can if course get some jdm standard pistons and raide compression to 11.7:1 and you can get some "ok" power out of that. Individual throttle bodies of course is another option, but that will cost some $$$. You could also sell your spoon n1 exhaust and get a j's racing 70mm single outlet exhaust. Mated with a test pipe people have got up to 15-20 hp at the wheels. There are options out there.
Evos don't trap much higher than the S2000, so even a stock S will be competitive from a roll.
With 4.57s, you should do fine against a stock Evo, probably matching the ET and beating the trap speed by 1-2mph.

I am guessing both would be quite hard to beat without F.I.
From 100mph+, M3 will walk both S and Evo.
From a stop, EVO wins hands down. From a roll, if the EVO is in boost range, you don't have much hope....maybe a hang if you are quick.....
Just know that straight line is not the S's strongest suit.

i know, it's just that i watched a video of an S on streetfire.net and it had 4.57, ECU, Exhaust, Headers and CAI which is pretty much what I have. I also have a flywheel on top of it. and that S wins over the EVO. that's why I am curious.
If I go with FI, will I be able to go with an M3 or I will win easily over M3s and EVOs??
