Meet an OG owner today
I had a roofing company come by my house today to do some repairs. The owner of the company immediatly asked about my S2000 and told me he has owned 3. He worked at a Honda dealer in San Diego and told me about how bad the 1st buyers/leasers of 00 models got screwed! He had a 00 Silverstone then sold it for a 01 in SPA and had that one CTSC then traded it in for a 04 model which he just sold 2 years ago for a Porsche. He still had his car cover bag and brought that over later and gave it to me. I guess it was just cool the way he talked about the S I could tell he really loved them like many of us do.

There were plenty of us that paid $45,000+ back when the car first came out. Looking back, did we overpay? Depends on what you consider 'value'....I don't think twice about the markup I paid. My dealership vowed to put the markup amount to charity (which they did), and I owned the S2000 for a cool three years before they started getting 'common'.
Also, the first generation of owners made for a truly unique and cool community. Loved every moment of early ownership more than any other car I've owned...and on a personal note, back when I started my relationship with the S2k, I did the same with who was my gf and now my wife. The S2000 was very much apart of our relationship and still is.
