Melted soft top

Default Melted soft top

after i got home from the car wash i looked at the corner of the rear window and i see and feels to me its been melted i tryed scrubbing it with a tootbrush and soap and water but notting i had the car detailed can this be from wax melting the top? it feels like smooth when u run ur finger over it

Wow that sounds pretty bad. I don't think you are suppose to be putting wax on the top. There are cleaners and protectants for the softop. If there is some residue on it, it is probably from some product. If it is glossy then perhaps a very hot object touched it.

I believe it specifies this in the manual, (and is generally common practice for ALL verts) NEVER use an automated wash. If they discover the problem, and the cause, you will be responsible.

no it wasent it was a hand wash and wax place they must of got some on the corner and it dried up i scrubbed the crap out of it with my toothbrush but still wont come out it feels smooth not like the rest of the top

If the detail place did it, then it is their problem. I suggest taking it back to them and asking them to rectify the situation.
