when is the meet? i was watching them they dident use a buffer it was hand wash and waxed
just click the link I provided above to the AZ Owners Forum and check it out, you will find the meet info there.
I doubt they will notice it upon lease turn in. There isn't a hole and the top goes up and down fine right? I would only be worried about the top failing in that spot if its integrity has been compromised.
Oh wow, I just realized that you posted a pic... definitely not from a buffer. That looks very strange, it does appear melted in that pic but I can't image how... been playin with a torch? lol
Just find out what did it and do the rest of the top to match! You could have the first folding hardtop!

in my opinion i think its melted wax because its a 100+ degrees here but the question is can melted wax be taken out?
It's not melted. It has been "polished."
This is a common symptom on older s2000s, but a 2007 going through a carwash will get it way faster.
What happens is most people forget our top is essentially plastic. It's made of very thing vynil threads, which technically, is platic. Ask any 2000-2003 owner to look at their top, and they will all see shiny spots. Those spots are from where the plastic was "smoothed" out, almost to a polished degree, leaving what looks like, a melted surface. While our tops are possible to melt, you probably just accelerated the process by going through the automatic brushes.

Oh, and if you do determine that it IS wax, peanut butter removes paste wax. I know it sounds dumb, but you can scrub peanut butter into the top, let it sit, then with dawn, get the peanut butter out. THEN, treat the top with Vynilex.
