I think xviper or someone else did test! Search for "cabin turbulence " That thread said that mesh worked better so was thinking to modify a combination of Ricks design and the OE to make a different windscreen to look more like the 911 one and see if it slow downs the turbulence over 70 mph which is kinda high at those speeds!

Umm why not just drill holes in the rick's one, so that it's meshed? it'll basically be the same thing.

You have a great memory. Indeed, the mesh is the best way to control the turbulence. Unfortunately, my rendition was pretty gawdy looking. Since it was only an experiment, I didn't retain it. Besides, it made opening the top compartment too much hassle.

Done that, too.

But....but....but.....but if it's not clear plastic, how am I supposed to light it up?
I also just thought of a way I could actually light up a mesh screen

Sometimes I scare even myself...

how did this one turn out?

i have the headrest inserts and the Rick's 7/8 screen but the wind still comes in. i would be willing to pay a nice chunk of change to have a mesh screen that worked properly.

I made a mesh windscreen very similar to this by hemming a square of black plastic screening and using elastic to hold it down. It did cut down on turbulence, but was too noisy for my taste. The sound was a continuous white noise, like rushing water, not any louder than the wind noise without it but very annoying.
