Well, it was a fairly nice day today, so i took the car cover off the s and did some maintenance. Changed the oil and diff fluid and decided to take it out for a wash. Well after washing the car i decided to stop at the starbucks close by. I ordered my usual and pulled up to the window. The girl greets me and says "man thats a nice miata" I said i appreciate the comment but its not a miata. She replies "what is it?" I informed her its a honda s2000. She said "what?" lol. I told her again and its like she didn't believe me. She had to get two of her associates over to take a look and even then they looked confused. Could it be the hardtop? Idk, after 5 years of owning the car this is my first miata encounter. It is a great feeling though when i do take the car out once in a blue moon how many stares i get driving down the road. I'm sure half of them are thinking "nice miata" Anyone else encountered this?

 

i got the same comment for a elderly person a while back, i feel sad when people tell me wow that miata looks nice...

 

To some people every little convertible made after 1990 is a Miata. Don't hold it against them.

 

two of my co-workers have miatas, my s2k looks absolutely huge next to them, but for a pickup driver all little convertibles look the same...

 

Never had that but every one always want to know what company makes my car. When i say honda and that its 100% stock they just look at me with this really blank look

Well, the car that looks closest to ours is the Miata. It is only when you see them side by side, you realize that Miata looks like a toy compared to the S2000.
