They do look similar, regardless of how many of you want to admit it. Face it, most everyone who makes that comment to us isn't going to be an auto enthusiast or a vert afficinado. Take the compliment, correct them nicely, smile, and drive off.
Don't let your egos get too big guys.

Post on miata.net today about the S2000:
"In simple terms, an S2000 is like a weaponized Miata. If that doesn't sound appealing, you probably should stay away from them. "

Honda has many many very tight patents on VTEC technology, which limits the design types and power we (and other Mfg's) can get from our VCT systems. VTEC really is having your cake and eating it too, unfortunately we don't get any.

All the new Mazda's look pathetic. I don't know who would give the go ahead for that design lol.
I had my s for only two weeks and some guy hit my car while i was parked and the people who witnessed the accident came up to me and said "yeah we were close to the accident because we were checking your car out.... we didn't know Honda made a two seater sports car". Would have been better if my car didnt get smashed up.

Speaking of rotund women and coffee, I gave a ride to my fat boss (probably 300 lbs) to starbucks and she said she would never ride in my car again! Lol!
I do have to say that someone nailed it earlier about seeing the car from a drive-thru window and not being an enthusiast that I can understand why they would assume it is a Miata. But in reality who gives a damn? Because it's not a Miata, it's an almighty S2000!
Next time it happens, if you get upset about it again I know a way that she will NEVER forget that you drive an S2000. Tell her nicely that it is not a Miata, but a Honda S2000, then throw the coffee back in her face and scream, "V-TEC BIATCH!!" as you tear ass out of the parking lot. Guarantee she will NEVER make the mistake again.
