"Is That A Miata?" he says...
Wait till you come to the middle of nowhere, Georgia. All I hear is "whatkinda'carisdat" and "I didn't know Honda makes a sports car". One person even asked if it was a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Sad, sad, sad.

I don't really care if people call it a Miata. Most of the people down here in LA either know what the car is, or they just ask what kind of car it is. Most people know it's a Honda from the badges, and usually ask what kind of Honda is that.
I like the "stealth factor", too, and I always found it amusing when people made such comments.
Now, with a full set of Rick's badges, people are REALLY confused. And when they ask, I tell them it's a Saturn...

I've seen _some_ common sense on this thread . . . the Miata is a GREAT SPORTS CAR. NO denying that fact; and I give props to all the hard core Miata enthusiasts out there.
Go auto crossing and have a Miata spank you some time. Then call the driver an idiot.
Would you "smash in the face" of someone who called your S2000 a Porsche?
get a grip
BTW, xfactor I hope you were trolling . . .

Not everyone is that interested in cars. Many people just want a decent, reliable means of transport..... (just my humble opinion...
)
Hey Jah,
I don't know what 'trolling' means...
And maybe I can't speak for all the car nuts here...
But it's just annoying when people can't differentiate between cars.
Maybe you don't understand...but there is a difference between saying "Hey, what kind of car is that?"
And saying
"Hey, isn't that a Miata?"
I'm nothing about image. I've been driving my stock '89 Accord and it has 150,000 miles on it...still starts like it's brand new. You call that image?
I take my car out to Hollywood and Sunset Blvd on the weekends, next to the 911s and the Diablos and Maranellos...and I'm proud of my lil' car.
So don't go preaching about image when you don't know what the ---- you're talking about.
I don't buy a car because it looks nice. I buy one because I love what it stands for...the largest horsepower/liter in any production car in the world, perfect 50/50 weight distribution, 6 gears, 9K redline...and most of all, because it's a Honda.
