Miata more fun?

But the Miatas were more fun to drive.
I could take the Miata up to red line most every time, if I did that w/the S2k, I'd lose my license! I found the Miatas were so prevelant, that I didn't feel they were a target in parking lots for thieves and vandals.

The car is slower, so you can take it to redline and still not be going fast. And the car is less attractive.
All of this equates out to a more "fun" car?
Stock for stock you can get more crossed-up in the Miata and still recover. Don't care if that's not = stability. That is fun and ultimately safer. Miata was/is too small for me or I might have been a Miata owner. As it is, S2K FTW!

I don't get this mentality...

Until i drove a S2K the Miata was one of the top cars to drive for me. The S was just a dream come true. Yes it is and can be unforgiving and a bit rougher than the Miata's, but its relative and can be acquired. To each their own. If you want a 100% stock fun car with no mods and will keep you smiling for as long as you own it, then its the S hands down. If you are going to modify or upgrade, then either one will work really. Same class of vehicle.
Hondabeater you REALLY need a new car. Its sad how you downgrade Honda and its models consistently. I wish i could help you get out of this game seriously.

Fun does not equal fast. Hard concept for some people [no sarcasm or disrespect should be read in that statement]. It's about the dynamics of the car that is completely subjective.
I have owned two S2000 (tracking and autoXing both) and a 99 Miata. The Miata is just more fun IMHO. Put over 100 track days as well as countless autoXs on the Miata and never had any issues, just fun.
This is not a slam on the S2000. I really enjoy my S2000, it is faster and better looking than a Miata but perhaps a 9.5/10 on a scale of fun were the Miata is a 10/10 on the same scale.
