WOW!!!
It looks like you've got yourself one very nice little project car there Grasshopper.

Sounds like a lot of work, but I guess the next one will be easier, right?
Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see/hear how it performs.

Alex,

don't you need a different oil pressure sensor for the gauge. I thought the factory one was only for an idiot light?

Correct, for the purpose of my gauges in the car I will have an oil filter sandwich adapter and both Prosport gauge senders for oil temp and pressure. An idiot light will also be connected to that circuit.

The broken oil sensor on the VTEC Solenoid valve assembly that I ordered is mostly because I have a cable hanging there with no sensor to plug into. Truthfully, the AEM doesn't even notice it's there (much less log it), but for the sake of being thorough I'd like to have it there.

I might be able to make a trip down there.
Heck, I've got 2 year old tires, just beggin for some smokin' to be done on them.
I figure with 130,000 miles, the S2000 is just now getting broken in, right?

I did realize the other day that one of my shocks sounds like it is squeeking. That can't be good. Any recommendations?

...kinda figured that would be the advice that just about anyone would give.
I am not looking forward to the cost. Unfortunately I don't have the time or the know-how that you obviously do.
Any recommendations on aftermarket shocks that are the same price as the stockers, but just as good?
I definitely don't want anything softer than what I've got (2002 model), but I don't think I need anything any more stiff either.
Not much autocrossing now, either so maybe the stockers are the best option.

any advice would help.

I can see dollar bills in the Honda dealer's eyes when I drive up, huh?

Screw Honda, pick up some used low mileage ones off the For Sale forum. It sounds like the stockers are your best bet.

Nice progress Alex, and good to hear that you're still around James.

I'm just back from a one month trip to Galapagos and looking forward to seeing this thing out on the track. Can you say "Homestead in July"?
