Default Mileage on S2K at delivery?

i'm confident that i'm being fed a line, but just to be sure ...

i would expect a new S2K, no test drives, to have 6-10 miles on it. car at a dealer i'm talking to has 58 miles. the new car manager swears that it has not been test driven. he says it is "honda policy" that the dealer tech drive the car for 50 miles before it is offered for sale.

does some swampland in florida go with this purchase?

this is b.s., correct?

thanks!

Not sure what most people have on their S when purchased new. You may want to do a search. I had 12 miles on mine when I picked it up. I saw it in the lot with all the plastic still on it and it had already said 12 miles on the odometer, I assumed the test drove it in Japan and moving the car around.

58 miles does seem kinda high for a brand new car

is correct.

Mine had 15 miles on it and I saw it come off the truck. They all vary in mileage...some have 2 miles and some could have maybe 20 or so coming off the truck. Some cars are subjected to testing once built but not 50 miles worth.

Maybe local policy to make sure someone gets a joy ride. Most have less than 10 miles off the truck.

15 miles. I think the odometer actually registers some mileage on the boat trip over from Japan..

21, with all the plastic. The dealer said they moved the car in and out of the service dept on the weekends in the winter. My car was built in 12/02 so it was not on the lot very long. The other S2ks on the lot had more miles on them. I took the one with the least miles.
