Default Mileage on Tires

I just bought my S2000 last week - Silver / Red.

I was wondering how many miles the 2000 and 2001 owners got on their original tires.

Please clarify your response by indicating if you drop the cluch at high rpm's frequently and the level of aggressiveness you drive with. These factors, of course, affect the life of the tires.

Did all the 2000's and 2001's come with the Bridgestones Potenza S-02's??

Thanks

8000 miles on rears, 13000 miles on fronts. Fairly aggressive driving: no clutch drops, several road trips at high speed (freeway) and lots of twisties. 3 track days. Stock tires on all S2000's are special Bridgestone Potenza S-02's made for the S2000 only.

i had quite a bit of wear early on (very aggressive driving- high speed corners, etc.), but have calmed down recently on my driving...
i have 9k miles and looks like i can get a few more k miles before i need new tires. and as gloffer indicated, all of our cars came with s-02s (mine is a 2000 year).

I have a 2000, the first set VERY conserative (to many tickets) 21,000. Second set, still conservative (S-03) 16,000, now third set (tix are gone) I'm expecting 10 - 14,000.

Where driven (city or highway) and how (aggressive or conservative) makes the range pretty wide 5K miles to 25K miles, with the median probably in the 12K mile range.

All S2000's come with specific OEM S02 tires unlike any other S02's. Replacement is not straight forward.

Similar experience to Gloffer. Average driving with several high speed road trips. No clutch drops nor track days. Got 8500 miles out of rears and fronts are still original.

8000 on ther rear abour 12000 on the fronts if I kept the S02's long enough.

As for my driving more then likly 6500 freeway driving and 1500 hot driving through the mountians at not legal speeds.

Daily aggressive driving...10K miles on my 2002. Rears are losing grip in high speed corners (on ramps). Someone said the Michelin Pilots may be a decent replacement (???)

I very rarely do high RPM clutch drops, but as a freeway commuter (25 mi one way) I enjoy playing Mario Andretti everyday.

I have 34K on the front and just changed the rears at 32K. Fronts look pretty good but will be changing them this weekend. The rears were a little hurtin' by the time I changed them.
