i got mine with 5 and it was still wrapped in plastic. i think it varies between cars but i think anything over 20 would be too many.

I got mine with 36 miles, but that's because the salesman had to drive in down form another dealership. They did a swap with another dealer because the place I bought it from only had silverstone w/black

I remember reading something like between 7-16 miles is acceptable for new. Anything more would be highly suspect. I think as part of the final assembly they are driven a few miles. I have no idea where I read this. If someone has more detailed info I would be interested to know as well.
I just looked mine up it was 7 miles on the odo when I got it. I wonder if that is where my brain pulled a 7 from.

Ours had 8, IIRC. I think some of this mileage is from movnig the cars around on the docks before and after shipping them from Japan.

I seem to recall my car had 6 miles on it when I got it.
And I am so glad that most dealers will not let folks drive them on 'test drives'.
I bought the car and had never driven in it until the paperwork was done.
And while that might sound foolish it is because of this site and my 2 months of lurking here that made me decide if all these folks like it then I will too.
And what can I say....it's a blast.

My 05 had just under 12 miles when I picked it up at the dealer. It was in the showroom; they used one out in the lot for test drives.
