The federal odometer law is called "Regulation Z"
I remember learning about it in my personal law class in high school.

1 in a certain number of S's is actually taken to the test track and all things tested out. This is for quality control purposes. I would say 5-10 is normal for something that rolls right off the truck.

My S had 8 miles on it when the dealer called me over to take a look at it and test drive it.

the first dealer tried to sell me an S with over 300 miles on it for sticker...i said hell no, i don't think it's even considered new at this point.
went to another dealer and they don't even let people test drive their S2k's and the one i picked out had 6 miles on it, so i know some japanese dude was probably the only one that revved the shit out of it

Mine Had 11 when they pulled it off the showroom floor for our test drive. We put 5 on it around the dealer. The cool part the dealer told my wife it was as easy as an accord to shift gears in. They let us take it even after she told them she had never driven a stick.. She learn on it in the parking lot at the high school next door.

Mine had 6 on it and they took the plastic off the seats to let me test drive it. Had 17 on it after my 11 mile test and I bought it.

Mine had 10 on it and then I added 4 during my test drive. Now it has almost 800.
