Default Mis-shifted!!!!!!!

Mis-shifted from fourth back into third and got sacred to death when I heard the rpm's climb...................to 9714!!!!!! Looked at the memory read out on my VAFC. Thank God, no smoke or anything from the hood. Thank God

"Thank God" is right. 9714 RPM is stratopheric.

VR, you HAVE to work on your reaction time. I've gone from fifth to fourth accidently several times and when I hear the rpm's rising, I kick in the clutch immediately.

Next time you may not be so lucky.

I'm thinking the reaction time must have been fairly quick by only overrevving ~700+ redline.

Consider yourself lucky

Many others haven't been

Definately a close call. I'm sooooooo thankful everything's fine. No funny smell, no smoke, car runs great. As soon as I read the rpm's on the memory readout on the vafc, i wanted to shut the car off to get the number off the screen so I didn't have to be reminded of it. I came to a stop light, and did just that. Again, I'm so thankful.
