Dude you blew my mind! I went to Wooden's basketball camp and heard these very words back in the late 70's. To this day I live by them.

Thanks for the memories,

Utah

P.S. I went to this camp kicking and and screaming. I wanted to go surfing everyday. Now I know why my dad sent me.....Thanks again.

I worked for Honda and the crap they would try and hide from people just to deny warranty. It's all a game.
^^This. I don't know what sort of rainbows-and unicorns world some of you live in, but the Honda dealers around here are known for being shady. Ever hear of "foursquaring"? They'll cheat you all day long if you let them. Not that it's a GOOD thing to cheat them in return, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

You got me on "foursquaring". I googled it but I did not see anything that would apply here.

Lots of people are out to cheat you all the time. It only makes sense to be on guard. I trust God but I still lock my car and house.

Oh please. I swear, mr self righteous. There are bigger worries in life than some one on these boards getting a warranty covered engine from Honda 11 years ago. How old were you then?

Not sure what age has to do with it, but 11 years ago I was 39.

Do you think Honda dealers were always so shady? What do you think made them this way? Your actions today have consequences for others tomorrow.

It's the car business it's always been that way. Was questioning your age since you recently joined the forum.

Save your quotes for someone who cares.

Foursquaring or manipulating the "four-square" is a common dealer practice, see http://consumerist.com/2007/03/30/de...ow-to-beat-it/

Wish I'd known about it earlier!

Exactly! I myself wouldn't attempt a fraud warranty claim.

I'm the dumbass who returned a loaner car at the Acura dealer, and pointed out the two license plate bolt impressions caused by some person parking and kissing the car. $700 bill later

Quotes? That wasn't me. Though I did find them inspiring.

I agree that car dealers are awful. I actually think their tactics in the repair shop are worse than those in their sales dept. But now I will add a quote, Mom (yours, mine, everyones) was right when she said "2 wrongs don't make a right".
