which header did you get and how does the car sound?? does it sound raspy? thanks
the stock enxhaust and headder sounded raspy i would say it's more Tinny... it has a certain tin sound when you are on the throttle, low RPM the exhaust seems to be deeper but 4K constant on the highway you will notice a tinny noise more so where the collector meets at the bottom.

It's an odd sound but it was expected since i have had headers before on other cars with similar results.

Header i purchased as Amuse, good stuff i got it at a good price. My primary choices was Toda (because of Hondata), Amuse because they make sweet stuff, and J's.

But the Amuse was priced perfectly so i could not refuse.

Yeah, I'm looking into a set of gears as my first performance mod.

At first, I thought the gears + Hondata reflash would of been a great combination.
i know gears will play a big role in these cars but i just dont' knwo what gear to get?

but yeah i was thinking this for performance mods.

K&N Drop in filter (done)
Header of choice (Done)
Hondata (skip)
Exhaust of your choice (nothing quiet fits)
Gears (still on the list of goodies)

Are you guys even making rated HP any more with these mods? Any dino runs? I consider anything other than FI (turbo/super) to be a waste of money on a '2k.

[QUOTE=LagunaS2K,Jul 24 2006, 10:13 PM] OK, Well after trying to decide about what to do with my Hondata situation i actually considered letting the shop drive my car to hondata to have it installed.

Upon doing so i consulted some dealers of hondata 2 to be exact.

Thanks for the update hondata... by "latest 06 S2000 has a revised ECU" do you mean that the early 06 models and the later built 06 models have different ECUs?

I have had no such feedback, and I am the person who designs the reflashes. So give me a call tomorrrow.

What information would you like to know that is not posted on our website?

http://www.hondata.com/reflash_s2k_toda_header.html

Ask and we shall answer.

We have not tested any other header than Toda, so if you are local (Torrance, California) and have a header other than Toda, give us a call and we will arrange a dyno test. I am sure the readers here would be interested in seeing the results.

We are excited because the ability to reflash the 06 S2000 will bring more choice to the S2000 community. Vendors are working with us to bring products to the market for this car.

We have just been made aware that the latest 06 S2000 has a revised ECU (A11). It will be about 2 weeks before we have a reflash for this ECU.

Doug
Doug,

is it possible to stop in and get a reflash done in person??? i still want the reflash after talking to dealers with bad reports it made me think twice. But if i can meet the man behind all this that would make me rethink my original take on the subject.

I will give you a call in the morning see if we can schedule something.

I currently have the Amuse Header and K&N filter with stock exhaust.

but i will give you a ring and see if we can set something up.

Thanks for the reply!
JC

there is a guy by the name of mike @ autowave in huntington beach, ca. he designed the aem ems harness for the nsx's DBW to make it work and has created one for our 06 S2K's as well.

2QYK4U has the prototype and is working very well from what i've heard. he currently has the the hondata reflash as well, but the aem ems is overriding it.
OH WOW!!! AEM EMS or Hondata????
