Also, keep in mind that some people may not want to hurt your feelings when they tell you your modded S looks sharp. If you could only read their minds.....

I think you should bake everyone else in the oven until they are golden brown, then replace them with clones of yourself, then you'll find true happines.....

Seriously tho, I don't care much for body kits, especially like the pics posted here, but hey, it aint my S, and just like this one stands out, so does mine, for different reasons. Do what makes you happy.... This will probably be debated til the end of time.

Good tast is in the eye of the beholder.

asking this question is like saying, why would anyone every date a chick with breast implants? Some chicks want 'em, some don't, most guys don't, a few don't... who cares?

I'm not afraid someone will look at my car and look at phil's and go "oh, his is stock, what a turd" Every person will make their own personal decision and I know I wouldn't be caught alive in that thing, but there are those who would want to be buried with it.

As long nobody sneeks up in the middle of the night and puts a body kit on my car, I'm okay with it.

The mods I've done to my car are for my own personal enjoyment. Not to impress anyone else.

I agree with GEdrew. A lot of times people put mods on their car that degrade the performance rather than increase it. I believe the original engineers of cars spend countless hours designing them a certain way and when we start changing aspects of the cars, do we really know what exactly we're doing to the car? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate mods to a certain degree but my question is that doesn't adding body kits, wings, large rims, etc. to cars increase the weight of the car as well as throw off the balance??

Your sig says "1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse-600+ HP (Getting old but still kickin)", yet you're against modding?

Did DSM put out some uber-special edition back in the day that I slept through, or are you just being a little hypocritical?

Seriously, to each his (or her) own... I'm nearing the purchase price in dollar value of the mods I've done, and I don't regret any of it. I've had a blast, and it's no more expensive than some of the other hobbies I've had over the years (skydiving, personal watercraft, etc).

Also, if you think i'm degrading the car's performance, you're mistaken - given identical driving skills, mine will out-run, out-handle and out-brake a stock one. And I've just started on my car - some of the guys around here that have had theirs for a while can put mine to shame (1RandyC, BlackS2000Turbo, Yellow Streak)...

Again, my opinion...
